What is the Crisis of Christmas Fund?
Intro Video to the Crisis of Christmas...
Is all about getting back to what Christmas is all about. The celebration of
the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Everyone wants Christmas to be meaningful but instead it becomes...
> SHOP, SHOP, SHOP
> CREDIT CARD DEBT
> TRAFFIC JAMS
> AN ENDLESS TO-DO LIST
This year we are challenging everyone to begin a NEW CHRISTMAS TRADITION!
WORSHIP FULLY. SPEND LESS. GIVE MORE. LOVE ALL.

The Crisis of Christmas is a fund dedicated to SAVING LIVES! Americans spend over $450 BILLION on Christmas EVERY YEAR! In ONE YEAR more than 1.5 MILLION people die because they use open flame stoves INSIDE THEIR HOMES to cook their meals. In other words… EVERY 20 SECONDS someone in the world dies because of indoor air pollution. The excessive smoke in the home causes health issues such as Cancer, Tuberculosis, and Acute Respiratory Infections. In Peru, 40% of the population uses open-flame stoves. This year the Crisis of Christmas fund is raising money to build a simple ENCLOSED STOVE equipped with a chimney which will send the excessive smoke out of the home reducing the carbon dioxide in the home by as much as 70%. Because of the donation made in YOUR NAME health is improved and LIVES WILL BE SAVED!
Instead of buying another gift...
> That sweater she won't like...
> That Random Gift Certificate...
> That toy he doesn't need...
What if... You spent LESS MONEY on Christmas and spent MORE TIME with those you love... Do things together... play, bake, eat, sled, bike, read, create, craft... Make gifts for each other (just like when you were a kid)... those are the kinds of gifts that will mean the most to those you love.
And REMEMBER that money you didn't spend... What if you gave some of it away... To the poor... The hurting... The lonely... The hungry... The thirsty... The sick...
Jesus considers what we do for those is need the same as if we did it for him.
Matthew 25:34-40
34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
37 "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?
39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40 "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
The Crisis of Christmas is a fund dedicated to saving lives! By spending less money and more time with those you love you can can bring meaning into this holiday season.
